This is a major undertaking with a budget in excess of $100,000, covering everything from paying for performers to covering the costs of publicity, insurance, sound, and so forth. Our funds come from ticket and concession sales, government grants, business sponsors, and donations from our supporters. Please consider making a donation to the Festival. In return for your donation, we are able to offer some direct benefits to you if you choose to take advantage of them: * Those who donate $250 receive 2 weekend passes to the Festival and an income tax receipt for the value of the donation less the passes. * For donations less than $250, your name will be entered in a draw for two weekend passes. You will receive an income tax receipt for the value of the donation less the passes. * Donors will be recognized in our Festival Program book The most significant benefit is the knowledge that your donation has, in a very real and significant way, made it possible for the Deep Roots Music Cooperative to produce another great Festival and at a great value to you. A donation of $250 less the value of two passes and a tax receipt for the remainder translates into a very inexpensive donation. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so by mailing it to: Deep Roots Music Cooperative Box 2360 Wolfville NS B4P 2GP Please include your name, address, phone number and email, and if you wish to have a tax receipt. If you have questions, contact Peter Sheppard at 902-697-2512 or by email at peter.sheppard1 at gmail.com. Last year's "Fancy Hats and Crowns" workshop was a great success, in large part due to the type of craft materials people had donated. Feathers, glitter, junk jewellery and beads all inspired the children to create fantastic headgear! Please watch at yardsales and rummage sales for treasures such as these which could be used in the "Fancy Hats and Crowns" workshop at Deep Roots 2009. We welcome your donations of any appropriate craft supplies.
